Awning & Casement Windows
Awning and casement windows are hinged in different places – awnings are hung from the top, while casements open from the side.
Both are practical, flexible and easy to use. They offer excellent ventilation control – you can open them to suit your comfort level and secure them in place with a window stay.
Most casement windows are vertical rectangles that have a single pane of glass. They also tend to have simple styling that sets them apart from more decorative window types.
The element that makes a casement window stand out is the operating mechanics which means instead of sliding up and down, like a hung window, or side to side, like sliders, casement windows are hinged at the side, and they open outward similar to a car doors.
